Christmas Eve

This is a small town in Iceland. Tonight is the Christmas Night, so everyone went to sleep earlier than usual, waiting for Santa Claus.
The small town is so quiet, even the dogs and cats are staying silent. At the edge of the town are a tiny church, with a few families around it. The church has three stories, with lights shining out. There're some houses crossing around the church. Usually, there were always babies shouting in the houses. But now, the babies are sleeping sweet and quiet, because they all had one opinion, that the Santa will come to me first?
The people are waiting patiently, and at the North Pole, Santa is packing up and ready to go. He took out his map and let the reindeer look at it. Then, he blasts off.
Finally, Santa comes to the town. He climbs down the chimneys and sent beautiful and lovely presents to the people. When he gets his work done, he flew back to North Pole.
The second day, people get many wonderful presents, and they all thank the Santa Claus.

CS-My opinion about WAR

I believe war is a serious problem. It has at least two bad results: first, war hurts the people involved; second, war also costs a tremendous amount of money.
Let us first look at how war may hurt the people involved. In the movie of True Lie, it tells that because of the Gulf War, many women and children were killed, only a few survived but became homeless, and that forced some of the Iraqs to act as terrorists. They tried every means to revenge for their country. They used military weapons and kidnapped American flight hostages. These made the US Government run into a very difficult situation. Though the movie is not real, it really tells how badly wars hurt people.
The cost of war is just obvious. In order to win the war, both sides spend a lot of money in buying foods and making high technology weapons. When the war is over, the defeated need to invest even a huger amount of money in rebuilding the homeland. These all affect the daily life of the citizens. The rising gasoline price is such an example.
Anyway, it is not hard to see how destructive war is. So the best thing for us to do is to stop war, use peaceful means for peaceful ends.

Mrs. C's Room

When I walked into Mrs. C's room, the first thing that catches my eyes is the messy corner. I always wonder if there're any ancient treasures there. It has a big black square face of a TV attached to the wall, with some fat cockroaches climbing in the back. It seems that even the cockroaches are amused with Mrs. C's exciting lessons. Probably Mrs. C has noticed these cockroaches sometime but since she is so kind that she would rather keep these little bugs there.
Against the wall stands Mrs. C's desk. This is a rectangular desk with a black brown top. On it is a teal computer. This I MAC computer is shaped like a square; small and beautiful.
Besides the computer, on the desk are also some pictures of her kids, a candy jar, some books and a lamp after almost the shape of the Eiffel Tower. Sometimes, she places a candy jar there full peanut butter chocolate. Those who want to have the chocolate must do well in class. This is really stimulating. But sometimes I find that Mrs. C's chocolates are not enough for all, when everyone does well. Sometimes, I also ask myself how much Mrs. C has to spend on us. Her love to the students is obvious. On her desk, there are also some pictures of her kids which keeps her close to her family, or gives her some comfort and warmth when she's tired after teaching, correcting papers or reading books. Sometimes I can find her desk is beautifully messy. I wonder if all teachers are like this. In my heart, I sometimes hope to have time to clean or put things in order for her, because in China, we students are supposed to help teachers when we can.
By the side of the desk is a delicate bookcase. The bookcase is also rectangular, white, and with a bunch of interesting books on its four shelves. The window on the next wall has large panes; the panes are divided into six equal diamonds, and have many brilliant stickers. The window is 8 feet tall, 5 feet wide, about the size of a pinpong table. Even though it's so big, it can't help if there's a fire started and the door is locked. Next to the window is the blue cushion black frame couch. The couch is about 6 feet long, which Mrs. C got it from Santa Claus. On the next wall are some bulletin and posters, they're all rectangles.
In this wonderful classroom, I learned a lot of stuff; I wish I will always enjoy this classroom.

       Painting of Wild

The painting is genuinely magnificent. It makes me feel like standing before a real place. On its left-hand side hangs a waterfall raining down the water from half the sky. The water is freezing. It's as cold as the ice. However, out from the icy water, jump up a swamp of fish, orange in color, over the gray brown rock that is on the right-hand side of the painting. Oh, my Gosh! The fish are jumping over the rock as high as the sky. It looks like they're flying entirely out of control.
Here are four big bears. Three of them are standing at the top of the jagged rock; they're reddish brown. The bears are looking for food. Maybe they're enjoying the fish's "jumping show" to fill their empty stomach. Or maybe they are just waiting for chances to get close to their desperate friends----fish and catch them all for their dinner. Their ideas and chances are too wild and stupid. The fourth bear is the hungriest. It's neither waiting for chances nor watching the show; it's standing in the splashing, bubbling water, catching those wiggly fish in a fast speed.
Some cold water is pounded, splashing over the huge, rough, bumpy rock. One fish is jumping down the rock toward the lake from the blue falling water. This fish is slimy, but as large as a big fat rabbit. One bear is looking down at the gigantic lake. It seems it wants to jump down into the beautiful lake to catch those delicious food ---- fish ---- for its dinner, just like the bear in the water.
This is a painting full of action. It reminds me of the real world of wilderness those people in Hatchet and Far North encountered in Canada.

        My Favorite Store

Among all stores in the world, probably my favorite store is Niko Niko Do. It's a Chinese-Japanese Corporation Store. It is located in a southern Chinese city named Guilin, which millions of travelers would rather to travel it. I prefer it because of its size, position, color, salary, and variety.
First, this is a 6-story super market and it's made of marble. Niko Niko Do has a huge parking lot at the side of its basement. The store is in the downtown of Guilin. Cross-streets are a few other big stores, such as Wang Cheng Department Store, Toys Store, Wen Ming Department Store, and Xing Hua BookStore. Due to the dense population of the city, it has a daily sales volume of $199,000---$200,000. You will like it when you really see it, but you actually will enjoy more when you get inside.
Next, the market has a variety of commodities, which are sold on its seven different stories. At the start of the journey, the first story, the market has different jewels, shoes, travel bags, and even candies on holidays. Then, on the second story, multifarious men's clothes are on sale. I tell you what, you're going to love this. After you travel through the second story, go on the ladder-like elevator and you're on the third story. The women's world is here. Thousands of brilliant women's clothes are showing right before your eyes, and you can buy as much as you can; and when you want to change your choice, it's fine. "Customers are always right, customers are the gods!”When you step up and get to the fourth story, miracle appears; it's the paradise for children that like to shop.
At the time you're done with your selection within stories one through four, it's probably the time for the store to close, so you're to move on fast. As you go on to the fifth story, electric appliances cover up the whole areas; so many multiple operations are on sale, and you can have your merchandise on hand anytime you want. Finally, you top the store, the sixth story. On this story, people would rather go eat in the food court or come out and play video games. It seems that this is the place that catches most people's concentration. No way! Everyone that comes into the store would usually get an elevator and go down to the basement.
What's the basement for? You guess it, the food basement. In the food basement, ordinary Chinese food, frozen seafood, food-ready-to-eat, candies, drinks, breads, and fresh fruits are all storing in there. This is the very place that everyone would like to go. In the food-ready-to-eat selection, delicious Beijing Duck, tasty Salted Peanuts are both included. In the seafood place, you may have some toothsome fish meatballs, palatable shrimps, savory crabs, and yummy hairtails. In the ordinary Chinese food, goluptious cylindrical-full-end sausages, savoury beef, delicate salty chicken, cellophane paper chops, and dulcet Guilin noodles.
Your shopping finally comes to an end, but your minds may still be concentrating on the shopping. The name Niko Niko Do means The Smiling Palace in English, and so that's why every salesperson and customers are always smiling. It's my favorite store.

        My Favorite Restaurant

Every living life that lives on earth has to eat food, and especially for our human beings. We eat many kinds of foods. We either cook them or go to the restaurants. We can see that every people has his favorite restaurant in mind. My favorite restaurant is the Guilin Fast Food. I prefer to it because of its looking, cleanness, and food the most.
White in color and of two stories, the restaurant is located in downtown Guilin, next to Hong Kong Street, which is also a throng place. If you look from the front of it, you can see at the left is a staircase. People can walk to the second story, in case the first story is run out of seats. Between the second and first stories, it's the lucent vermeil name of the restaurant. Close to the bottom of the staircase is a glass-box with a bunch of living sea animals. A pipe is placed in it to produce bubbles in the water so that the animals can breathe. These sea animals are not for people to watch, but for the restaurant to cook them if the customers take an order. Usually, some fried foods are on sale in front of the restaurant. They're extraordinarily palatable.
As you get into the restaurant, you can see a sea of people. You have to shoulder your way through. While some are getting their foods, some are getting their drinks, and some others are still searching for their seats. The hardest thing you do when you're in a famous Chinese restaurant like this is that you can't easily find vacant seats, so you'd better find a seat before the waiter fetches your foods. As you're done with your ordering and waiting for your foods, you will realize that the environment is pretty good. The restaurant has no dust in it. Its air condition is on and you feel it fairly agreeable even the season changes. Comely pictures on the walls add to your good feelings.
At the counter, you can order lots of goluptious foods on numbers of dishes, such as Rice with Bruised Beefs, Superb Sausages on Rice, Rice with Sour and Sweet Spareribs, Rice with Fried Eels, and even Western Meals. My favorite orders are Fried Rice with Eggs and Pork Sausages, Triangular Sandwiches, and Rice Noodles of Eight Flavors. I like the third one the most. The Rice Noodles of Eight Flavors are yummy rice noodles that are made in eight different ways; each contains unlike recipes, for examples, green onions, fried yellow beans, fried peanuts, and beefs. Those foods are of acceptable prices. By the way, at the time you are ordering your foods, the cashier will write your orderings down on a checkbook and give you check after you have paid. Then, what you have to do is to remain seated and wait.
As a crowd of people leaves, another crowd arrives. Everyone comes in to enjoy their favorite foods, and wears cheerful smiles on their faces while they're walking out. But, from my point of view, Guilin Fast Food boasts not only superior foods, but also first-ranking waiters, and cozy environment. That's why I love it.
