To  get  more informations  about  international   scientific research in karst from  the Internet, the visitors  of  this  Website are  highly  recommended to visit   also  other  karst  websites.

KARST  WATER  INSTITUTE (KWI)

Based  in  USA, the  KWI  was  founded  in  1992.  The  goals  of  KWI are : (1) interdisciplinary  karst  research; (2) advance  scientific   knowledge  by  fostering  state-of-art  karst  research; (3) solution  of environment  and land use  problems  in  karst  regions; (4) education.

KWI  published  Newsletter   in  1992.  In 1993, it  changed  the  publication’s  name as  “THE  KWI  CONDUIT”.  From 1999  Spring/Fall, KWI has  established  a  new  website  and a  new domain  name(www.karstwaters.org)

Informations  for  KWI  can  be  found  at :

INTEGRATED WEB  INFORMATION  ON  KARST

The  IAH  Karst Commission(Heinz Hoetzl),  the  IGU  Commission”Sustainable Development  & Management of Karst Terrain”(John Gunn), and the UIS  Commission on Karst  Hydrogeology  and Speleogenesis(Alexander Klimchouk)  have  established a  joint  Web Page  to  provide  details of  meetings,  publications and other  news  directed  to  a  wide  karst  community.  The  joint  Karst Page  can  be  accessed  by  using one of  the  following URLs :

KARST  HYDROLOGY  LIST  SERVER

Doug  Boyer, hydrologist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, has set up a new list server for the discussion  of  karst hydrology and water quality  issues.  The list  is  maintained on  a U.S. government server  and is currently  unmoderated  in  order to  allow  for quick  free  flow  of information.
Subscriptions  can  be  made  by  mailing to:
