Focus on the research of assessment and management of underground water resources and environmental geology. Established the earliest water-quality models through the study of underground water contamination mechanism and solute movement theory. Engage in the regional and urban underground water resources assessment and theoretical study on water flow simulation, contributed to the accuracy improvement in underground water resources calculation in China.

Finished nearly 30 state-level and ministry-level research projects since 1985, and won 11 awards in which there are 3 first prizes: the first two are about the scientific management of regional and urban underground water resources, the third is about national technology standard—classification code of geological and mineral terms (hydrogeological section). Also won another 3 science and technology progress prizes (1 second prize, 2 third prizes) with considerable social, economical and environmental benefits.

And published 12 monographs, issued 53 papers in which 29 papers were presented on international congresses and have been adopted in relevant proceedings.

So far, she has trained and brought up more than 40 Masters and Doctors. Once be awarded a top qualified professional personnel and received the medal "Prominent Figure of Jilin Province".
