Rocky desertification,drought and water deficiency are the main environmental problems in karst areas. Vegetation cover is merely 12.6%, in the karst region of Southern China. In Guizhou Province, area of soil loss makes up 28.4% of the whole and still enlarges continuously with annual rate of deforestation 900km2.It hindered seriously the economic development and promotion of local people’s livingstandard. Under the financial aid of Chinese Government, World Bank, and WFP, strives to rehabilitate rocky desertification, resolve the drought problem, have made headway. Here are several successful examples in this direction.
