星移斗转，世纪之交与千年之交赋予千禧龙年以丰赡的意义。《东方丛刊》在此谨与大家共
勉：以新的实绩迎接新世纪的曙光!
本辑“东方文化与文学”栏目特别推荐潘年英先生关于“张艺谋神话终结论”的富有见地的
论文，它可以引发我们对当前学术界若干重要问题的思考。《东方丛刊》鼓励学人自由发表
有理有据有节的不同意见，以促进中国学术研究的健康、繁荣的发展。卢毅先生则对20世纪
90年代以来在中国兴起的文化保守主义，从其出现的社会文化背景，以及学理方面的原因作了
较全面的分析。潘、卢两位中青年学者所显现的务实认真的治学风格，应该大力提倡。本栏
目肖瑞峰、姚继中和廖学新先生的文章选题有新意，值得一读。
在“比较诗学与文学”和“中国美学与文学”两个栏目中，我们不仅刊发了一些资深人士的
思想成果，而且还有意识地推出了一批新人学术思考的结晶。其中孙景尧与罗璇先生合作的
论文清晰地论证了扶南在古代中国与异域交往关系中的特质，论题新颖，论述颇能给人启迪
。林笳先生则以比较文学的跨文化阐释方法，揭示了研究对象的跨文化变异与意义。台进强
先生对中国古代诗论和西方诗论均有深入的思考，并有不少“妙悟”之语。任昕、薛海燕先
生的文章也都有其学术上的独到之处。
中国的东方研究将伴随着新世纪的脚步向纵深发展。《东方丛刊》愿为海内外学人提供一块
纯净、自由、合理化交流学术的天地，让我们一起努力!
